Sarande - Albania

Located just across the sea from Corfu, one might mistakenly believe they are in Greece upon approaching Sarande.  The town has a distinctly Mediterranean feel that mirrors its nearby neighbours and offers its visitors, in addition to the sea, many historical beauties to be admired.  Check out Ali Pasha Tepeleni Castle, one of Albania's landmark buildings, an imposing square structure overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
